My name is Amanda and I am 24 years young, studying and interning in the horse training field, with the goal of becoming a horse trainer specializing in ground work and trail riding.
I am loved by a 25-year-old Morgan/Peruvian Paso mare named Molly. She is my heart and soul, and my constant source of sanity. We’ve been together about nine years with many more to come, Lord willing.
My newest edition to my equine family is Murphey; a large standard donkey. He is my work in progress, a constant challenge, and the sweetest soul you’ve ever met. He was purchased by the ranch originally as a “Jesus Donkey” to be used in the Christmas and Easter pageants, but he wasn’t trained and still hasn’t found Jesus yet. I bought him, just after Christmas 2 years ago and we’re working on it, Pray for us!
Me in a nutshell? A God-fearing and loving, country girl with a gypsy soul.
I’ll be writing, venting, and rambling about my equine life, my experiences in school and the road to becoming a trainer, food and cooking, and all the adventures along the way. I hope you all enjoy the ride.
